Our Daily Routine

Children are dropped off between 8:00-9:30am.

At about 9:30, we start our morning circle where we sing songs, play musical instruments, dance, read stories, and discuss our plans for the day.

After morning circle, we start our projects and have AM snack.

We usually have outings three to four times a week. One week, we may go to Alamo Square, Golden Gate Park, Academy of Sciences, and Library Storytime. The next week, we may go to the Conservatory of Flowers, a local concert, and the deYoung Museum.

On Wednesdays, My Gym comes to our facility for gymnastics class. On Thursdays, we go to the Storytime session at the Park Branch Library.

Lunch is served between 11:45-12:15. We participate in the Federal Food Program and required to serve meals consisting of milk, fruits, vegetables, protein(cheese, beans, meat), and grain(crackers, cereal, bread, pasta, quinoa, rice). We use whole grain foods, nitrate free lunch meats, organic milk, and local organic produce from our Eatwell Farm CSA box/farmer’s markets. Food scraps are composted in our garden’s composting bin or as a snack to our backyard chickens.

After lunch, children brush their teeth and get ready for nap.

By 3:30, most children will be awake and ready to have PM Snack. After snacks, we go to our backyard to garden, ride cars/tricycles, make messes, feed chickens, dig for worms, and have good old fun!

Parents may pick-up children anywhere between 3:45-5:30.
